THE NEW GODS.

The feature film that launched 6161 Entertainment. This DIY micro-budget drama was filmed on 35mm film stock in the back alleys of Los Angeles. THE NEW GODS played the SXSW Film Festival, while also winning the Audience Award at the Hermosa Beach Film Festival. The story involves a young poet in the underground music scene of a small town being offered a grant to join a prestigious artist community. However, when his best friend gets in trouble with the law, he must decide whether to stay in town to help, or follow his dream and enjoy the riches of a much greater calling.

AMERICAN GAMER.

This feature film documentary was filmed in the early days of the esports professional gaming revolution, and the young cyber athletes featured in the movie have now become gaming legends (Team SK, Fatal1ty). This documentary was directed and edited by James Boyd, and took over 2 years to complete post-production due to the complexity of re-creating the in-game graphics action for the big screen.
